The Campaign:

One Day To Feed The World is a united act of compassion to help the poor and suffering.  Members of the congregation are encouraged to designate ONE DAY’S

WAGE to feed the hungry and share the love of Jesus.  Every dollar contributed is multiplied to provide up to $10 worth of food and supplies. Aid is delivered through children’s feeding programs, outreaches, disaster relief and more.

The Campaign Kit:

This One Day To Feed the World kit contains a DVD, sample brochure, sample giving envelope, and this message directly to you, the pastor.  Brochures are free and churches can request any quantity to suit their needs. 

The Steps:

The campaign commonly takes 2 to 4 weeks.  An informational and inspirational DVD or downloadable videos are available for each Sunday during the campaign.  A typical campaign would be as follows:
Before the campaign begins, watch the “Pastor to Pastor” video and see how the One Day campaign has worked for other churches.

Week 1       Show the “Moments Matter” video

Week 2       Show the “Garbage Heaps” video

Week 3       Show the “Launch” video

Week 4       Take the offering and celebrate!

Helpful Suggestions From Veteran Pastors:

1. Do the campaign with any sermon series you choose, but be sure to refer to the “One Day” commitment during or before each message to reinforce the campaign.
2. Express your goal for giving in terms of containers sponsored ($6,000 each), as well as in dollars.
3. Give participants 2 or 3 Sundays to respond with their “One Day” gifts since some will not be present on the final Sunday.
4. Make sure the offering is taken early enough on the final Sunday to allow for a total count and celebration.  It is a great moment for everyone involved.
